I am a Type 2 diabetic and have been injecting insulin for about six months now. I should be taking tablets as well but as I don't like how they make me feel it has just been the insulin. My sugars have been bad - I mean really bad. I have been unable to get a morning reading under 12 and that just sets my day up for disaster. Well no longer. After my first week doing WW I have noticed a staggering difference. My sugars have come right down. I had a morning reading of 4.8 which totally shocked me. Of course now I am busy adjusting my nighttime insulin so I don't have a hypo. I am so happy. I thought I was following a healthy diet before but I wasn't.
WW is showing me a whole new way of eating. The programme is so different from the way it was structured before as the focus is now on eating filling foods. It has really made a difference to me.
